To close National Bullying Prevention Month, the Youth Advocacy Movement (YAM) of the Guyana Responsible Parenthood Association (GRPA) launched an anti-bullying campaign on the avenue of Main Street yesterday.
Kendra Warner, a youth volunteer at GRPA, related that the activity aimed to tackle bullying and give those involved the chance to express themselves on the issue and share their messages with the public. It was also intended to encourage the promotion of kindness and empowerment among youths.
The launch was complemented by a street fair that was supported by volunteers from Child Link, the Society Against Sexual Orientation Discrimination (SASOD), the President’s Youth Award Republic of Guyana (PYARG) and the GRPA.
Following this launch, YAM will continue work on its anti-bullying campaign with in-school sessions.
