Mahaica Determinators and Beterverwagting (BV)/Triumph United clinched contrasting wins when the National Milling Company (NAMILCO) National u17 Championship continued yesterday in the East Coast of Demerara zone.
Staged at the Golden Grove ground, Julius Hamilton fired in a helmet-trick on either side of halftime in the second, 46th, 55th and 85th minute for Mahaica who defeated Buxton Youth Developers 7-1.
Assisting in the rout were Nicholas Jardine, Martin Wilson and Omari Walcott in the seventh, 32ndand 66th minute respectively.
For the losing team, Meshane Thomas scored in the 56th minute.
BV/Triumph came from behind to defeat Plaisance by a 2-1 margin. Falling behind to a Jaheem Hinds 21st minute effort, BV/Triumph secured the result as Omari Glasgow scored twice in the 57th and 66th minute.
Over at West Demerara, league leader Den Amstel maintained their unbeaten run as they won via walkover against Wales United.
