Two armed bandits stormed a cellphone shop located on Albert Street yesterday morning and made off with a quantity of cellphones and watches, the total value of which is so far unknown.
A police source revealed to Stabroek News that the robbery occurred between the hours of 11 and 11.30 at Celltopia, located at Lot 51 Robb and Albert Street, Bourda. The business is owned by Noland Lancaster.
The robbers reportedly entered the establishment and carted off a number of cellphones, including those belonging to staff, and watches that had been on sale at the time.
It was related that the employees were held up at gunpoint before they were relieved of their phones.
The perpetrators then escaped on two CG motorbikes that were on standby outside.
