A man was yesterday sentenced to nine months in jail after he admitted to larceny.
Osmond Hussain admitted that between December 1, 2015 and September 29, 2016, he stole a quantity of vinyl flooring, valued at $75,000, $60,000 in brooms, a $35,000 generator and $24,000 in taps from the storage bond of Ravindranauth Rampersaud.
Prior to sentencing Hussain, Magistrate Dylon Bess stated that he took into consideration the fact that he did not waste the court’s time and that he appeared to be remorseful for his crime.
He then sentenced Hussain to nine months in jail.
