General Manager of the Guyana Marketing Corporation Nizam Hassan and others were today charged with fraud pertaining to payments for work done on the Guyana Marketing Corporation building.
Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan read this charge to Ramkissoon and Felicia De Souza Madramootoo, the wife of Project Engineer Manager within the Ministry of Agriculture Hanniel Madramootoo, who is also being charged.
Madramootoo along with another accused was not present in court today.
Hassan and De Souza Madramootoo were each granted $250,000 bail.
