Murder accused Calvin Bailey will go on trial next month for the alleged wounding of fellow Camp Street prison inmate Dwayne King.
It is alleged that on November 6th, at the Georgetown Prison, on Camp Street, Bailey unlawfully and maliciously wounded King.
On Thursday, Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan set December 15th for the commencement of the trial after Police Prosecutor Neville Jeffers reported that there are five witnesses who will give evidence in the case.
King was recently sentenced to 60 months in jail after he was found guilty of drug trafficking. King was accused by his United Kingdom-based Guyanese girlfriend of setting her up with cocaine found in rum bottles she was trying to take out of the country.
