The Guyana Police Force is responding to a newscast on HGP TV Nightly News which was presented the night before last by Mr Travis Chase in respect of the murder of Ryan Sergeant outside Rio Night Club.
The Force denies allegations of unprofessional behaviour as was represented by Travis Chase in his presentation of the HGP TV Nightly Newscast aired on Channel 67.
The Force also wishes to express its disappointment in the newscast’s broadcast of the story without a comment from the police.
Regarding attorney-at-law, Mr Nigel Hughes’ letter to the Commissioner, please find attached a copy of the response from the Crime Chief, Senior Superintendent Wendell Blannum, which was sent to Mr Nigel Hughes on November 17, 2016.
