Ann’s Grove overcame a one-goal deficit to defeat home side Golden Stars 2-1 when the East Demerara Football Association (EDFA) Senior League continued yesterday at the Golden Grove ground.
Two goals in the second half from Oswald Duke and Ryan Fields secured the hard-fought contest after Calvin Willy gave the hosts the lead in the 19th minute.
Duke levelled proceedings as he found the back of the net in the 67th minute. The result was then sealed three minutes later as Fields etched his name on the scorer’s sheet.
With the result, the visitors walked away with three points while the home side was left empty handed. The event will resume at the same venue on Sunday December 11th.
