Georgetown Football Club (GFC) downed Buxton United by a 2-1 scoreline when the Turbo Energy Drink sponsored Fruta Conquerors U19 Academy League continued yesterday at the Tucville Community ground.
Curtez Kellman gave the Bourda based unit the lead as, he found the back of the net in the 35th minute. Buxton United restored parity proceedings in the 49th minute in the form of Paul Kingston.
However, Lennox Cort recorded the go-ahead winner as, he etched his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 57th minute.
Due to the result, GFC climb into the second position on six points, while the loser remain in third place on four points.
Meanwhile up to press time, Pele FC and Uitvlugt Warriors were slated to face-off. The event continues tomorrow at the same venue.
