National player Priyanna Ramdhani won two titles when the seventh annual Woodpecker-sponsored badminton singles tournament ended Sunday at the National Gymnasium.
Ramdhani got the better of Ambika Ramraj in the girls U19 and the ladies Open finals winning 21-8, 21-4 in the former and 21-12, 21-13 in the latter.
In the Open men’s singles final, Nicholas Ali defeated Javid Rahaman 21-16, 21-14 while Jonathan Mangra won the boys U19 final defeating Akili Haynes 21-17, 21-15.
In the U11 boys singles final, Jeremy Tenpow lost to Omar Samad 21-19, 11-21 18-21 while Vikash Mootoo defeated Matthew Beharry 21-5, 21-5 in the boys U13 final.
In the U13 girls singles final, Lesha Singh defeated Elesa Sangster 21-16, 21-8.
Director of Sports Christopher Jones, Ms. Shuffler, Gokarn Ramdhani, Nicholas Waldron, Darrell Carpenay and Emelia Ramdhani assisted with the presentation of prizes.

U11 boys singles: – Omar Samad, Jeremy Tenpow and Avinash ramnarine and Juntin Tenpow (joint third).
U11 girls singles: – Emily Choo-a-Fat, Haily Choo-a-Fat and Mishka Beharry.
U13 boys singles: – Vikash Mootoo, Matthew Beharry,
U13 girls singles: – Lesha Singh, Elesha Sangster, Lathika Kendavel and Sasha Singh (joint third)
U19 boys singles Jonathan Mangra, Akili Haynes.
U19 girls singles: – Priyanna Ramdhani, Ambika Ramraj and Crystal Singh.
