Banks DIH Limited says it has won the “Coca Cola Excellence Cup” for Performance excellence (small markets), winning the award over other leading bottlers of Coca Cola within the regional Latin Centre Business Unit (LCBU). The Cup was awarded at the recent LCBU Bottlers meeting held on November 17th, 2016 in Miami, Florida, USA, a release from the company said on Friday.
Receiving the award in Miami were Clifford Reis – Chairman/Managing Director, George McDonald – Co-Managing Director/Marketing Director and Andrew Carto – Human Resources Director.
In commenting on the win, Reis expressed pride and gratitude on behalf of all at Banks DIH Limited who contributed to the success.
Reis said: “Our Company has over the years built a quality system which today has been recognized with this award. Our staff remains committed to quality in the production of Coca Cola products and all other products made by Banks DIH Limited”.
“It puts us on the map and says to all that world-class quality can be and is produced right here in Guyana and by Guyanese”, he added.
Bottlers in the LCBU and across the world compete in several categories of Sales, Health, Safety and Environment. This is only the second time that the Excellence Cup has been awarded, the release added.
Banks DIH Limited has been the local bottler of Coca Cola since 1990.
