Post-secondary/tertiary institutions urged to seek registration

The National Accreditation Council (NAC) is encouraging all institutions offering educational programmes in an academic or vocational field leading to certification at the post-secondary and tertiary level to seek registration in 2017.

While the NAC does not wish to point out specific institutions, it strongly encourages unregistered institutions to pursue and complete registration next year, a release from the NAC said.

Registration it said is a mandatory quality assurance process whereby said institutions demonstrate that they have met set criteria and standards to operate in Guyana.

The public is encouraged to visit NACs website: www.nac.gov.gy to ensure that their institution of choice is listed on the NACs list of registered post-secondary and tertiary institutions.
