Tourney hosts Fruta Conquerors returned to their winning ways in the Turbo Energy Drink sponsored U19 Academy League, defeating Western Tigers by a 2-0 score line on Wednesday.
Leon Richardson and Jeremy Garrett recorded goals on either side of half time to seal the win at the Tucville Community ground. Due to the result, Conquerors climb to the top of Zone-B on nine points while Western Tigers remain in the fourth spot on five points.
Meanwhile, Georgetown Football Club and Santos FC battled to a 1-1 draw. With the outcome, Santos remain at the summit of Zone-A on eight points, while GFC remain in second position on seven points. The event resumes today at the same venue with another doubleheader.
