A ‘Swift Cabs’ taxi driver was up to last evening in a critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital after being stabbed, reportedly by another taxi driver from a different service during a dispute over a broken car mirror.
Based on information reaching this newspaper, the injured man has been identified as 26-year old Owen Lynch of Stevedore Housing Scheme, West Ruimveldt.
According to a fellow Swift Cabs taxi driver who spoke to Stabroek News, the incident occurred just after 8pm last evening in the vicinity of Dennis Street, Sophia.
