One of the two suspects who were captured on Wednesday following the robbery of Tower Suites employees has admitted to having committed four other robberies.
Stabroek News gathered that during investigations, the suspect told police he was involved in two robberies committed on customers leaving Republic Bank on Water Street and two robberies of fruit vendors on Oronoque and Church streets.
On Wednesday, one of the armed bandits had approached Tower Suites Accountant Baldeo Seegobin after he returned from Republic Bank, Water Street with $2.9 million.
Seegobin was still in the car and the front passenger side window was shattered to give the perpetrator access to the money bag. He then made off with his accomplice, who was waiting nearby on a motorcycle.
