Tavelle’s Academy might be a learning institution but Friday night they received a harsh lesson when they were swamped 12-1 by the Georgetown Football Club when the Turbo Energy Drink-sponsored Fruta Conquerors U19 Academy League continued Friday.
The victory by GFC is by the largest margin to date in the tournament.
Ralph Parris led the assault with five goals in the 10th, 28th, 34th, 48th and 62nd minute while Curtez Kellman netted twice in the 18th and 46th minute while Dwayne Rogueiro, Daniel Ross, Marvin Carter, Joel Humphrey and Shamar Joseph scored solo goals in the 15th, 21st, 25th, 58th and 60th minute each.
The lone goal scorer for the losing side was Jamal Waddell who netted his side’s consolation goal in the 46th minute.
In another high scoring game Buxton United crushed Eastveldt 8-0 with
Kurt Adams netting a hat-trick in the 11th, 38th and 56th minute while Cleveland Barnwell, eighth and 19th minute and Paul Kingston, 61st and 69th minute netted twice.
Dillon Wright scored the final goal in the 79th minute. Action in the tourney continues tomorrow at the same venue.
