Dear Editor,
I had a conversation in my head regarding ministers using taxpayers’ money to get an education.
It went like this: Taxpayer, “I want to see the minister right now concerning an urgent matter.” Minister, “I don’t have time right now, I am studying for my degree.” Taxpayer, “I’m paying for your degree and you don’t have time to see me?” Minister, “I’m sorry but I must get back to my study.”
Minister, “Let there be the ‘good life’ in Guyana. And let it begin with me. I thank you very much taxpayers for paying for my degree, and I wish you all a Merry Christmas.”
Yours faithfully,
