Due to a waterlogged Tucville Community ground because of the constant rainfall, the Turbo Energy Drink sponsored Fruta Conquerors U19 Academy Football League will be postponed until January of 2017.
According to a release from club secretary, Daniel Thomas, “Due to the inclement weather which has left our ground water logged in many areas, we have made a decision to postpone the semifinals and finals until January 2017. This decision was unavoidable, but it was felt that it was the correct decision to make”.
The respective semi-finals were slated for today at the aforementioned venue. Zone-A winner Fruta Conquerors was programmed to oppose zone-B runner-up Santos, while zone-B victor Georgetown Football Club (GFC) was slated to tackle zone-A runner-up Uitvlugt. The grand final was originally scheduled for December 27th.
