Dear Editor,
I want to bring to the attention of the relevant authority the daily suffering the residents of Good Hope Phase Three are enduring. For the past two years, we have been bringing this issue up in the print media, with the NDC and the Ministry of Housing, and as of today, no relief is in sight. A village that is less than five years old does not have proper roads for cars and pedestrians alike; it takes approximately ten minutes to drive through filth and mud to get out to the paved roads adjacent to the village. Now that the rainy season is upon us, it has gone from bad to worse; even taxis and minibuses are refusing to come to our village, while pedestrians with children have to walk through a swamp daily to get out.
Editor, we had some sort of hope that this new government would have been caring and listen to our plight. We have been patient and even considerate, driving and walking in swamp every day while the government settled in, but just as with the PPP our concerns are being ignored.
Yours faithfully,
N Bacchus
