(Trinidad Express) A reputed gang member was killed, while another gang member and a police officer were wounded during a drive-by shooting outside the St Joseph Police Station yesterday.
The reputed gang member was identified as Kerland George also known as “Miceman”.
Shameel Ali and PC Lalchan sustained wounds and were taken to hospital.
Initial reports indicate that a man who is out on bail went to the police station for the officers to sign his record book as a condition of bail.
Reports are that at around 3 p.m. a vehicle with an unknown number of occupants drove past the police station and opened fire.
The vehicle sped off, but later overturned near Waterfall Road.
