An Albouystown resident was early yesterday morning taken into custody after the police carried out a search at his house and uncovered several illegal items including a .45 pistol.
The police, in a press release, said that acting on information received they swooped down at the house of the 24-year-old man. A search was carried out during which a .45 pistol, five matching grounds and 125 grammes of cannabis were found.
The man is likely to be charged soon.
