Come next month the Guyana Badminton Association’s 2017 season will commence with an Open doubles tournament at the National Gymnasium.
According to a press release from the GBA, the GUMDAC Open doubles tournament will be held February 1-3 at the National Gymnasium 6:00pm-9:00pm both days.
“This is the first of a series of local tournaments,” stated the release.
The tournament will be played in the men and ladies doubles and mixed doubles, the release stated.
The GBA said it was advising interested players to commence training for the tournament which has been a staple on the association’s calendar for the last four years.
The closing date for entries is January 30. Narayan Ramadhani and Jonathan Mangra won last year’s Open men’s doubles tournament while the ladies doubles winners were Priyanna Ramdhani and Siya Persaud.
