(Trinidad Express) A mother and her two children were killed almost instantly in a crash on the Churchill Roosevelt Highway on Thursday.
The three died when the vehicle they were in was struck by an alleged drunk driver at an intersection in the vicinity of Mausica.
Police said a drunk driver slammed into a vehicle in which the mother and children were passengers.
The deceased were identified as Carla Collins, 34, and her children, Camani, eight months old, and Camari, two years old. The woman’s husband, Keston Collins, a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard, was driving the vehicle and he was said to be in critical condition at hospital.
The crash occurred at around 10 p.m.
