Kenkassie Lynch, the suspect in the murder of mechanic Terrence Lanferman, who was gunned down at his Mocha home two years ago, was yesterday committed to stand trial for the crime.
Lynch was before Magistrate Fabayo Azore for the Preliminary Inquiry and at its conclusion, Magistrate Azore found that a prima facie case was made out against the defendant. The magistrate said the court found that the prosecutor had provided sufficient evidence through its witnesses.
Magistrate Azore then committed the defendant to stand trial at the next practicable sitting of the Demerara Assizes at the High Court.
Lynch will remain on remand until that time.
