File on cop accused of stabbing teen to be sent for DPP’s advice

Police are preparing a file to be sent to the office of Director of Public Prosecutions for advice on the stabbing of a 14-year-old, allegedly by an off-duty policeman.

The policeman, who is reportedly attached to the Operations Room at the Brickdam Police Station, allegedly stabbed David Peters after the teenager taunted him two Fridays ago.

Commander of ‘C’ Division Marlon Chapman told Stabroek News that the file would be sent to the DPP office during the course of this week.
