The prosecution was yesterday ordered to produce witnesses or close its case in the Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the charge against Reagus Lamazon and Samuel McIntyre, the men implicated in the murder of Laing Avenue taxi driver Orin David.
Lamazon, of 51 D’Urban Street, and McIntyre are charged with murdering David on August 1, 2016, at Georgetown.
When the PI continued yesterday before Magistrate Dylon Bess, the prosecution, for the second time, was ‘witness-less.’
This prompted attorney Adrian Thompson to request that the prosecution close its case.
Magistrate Bess, however, gave the prosecution a final opportunity to produce all the remaining witnesses, failing which the magistrate will order that it close its case next Tuesday. The matter is slated to continue on February 13 and February 14.
