Ravens defeated Plaisance Guardians in the Open Division while the University of Guyana (UG) Trojans schooled Pacesetters in the U23 section when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) ‘League of Champions’ continued Monday.
Ravens prevailed over the East Coast of Demerara unit 76-47 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue. Dominic Vicente top scored in the rout with 15 points, with the next best scorer coming in the form of Carlos Edwards with 15 points.
Marlon Rodrigues and Lawrence DaCosta assisted with nine points each. For the losing team, Trenton Woolford scored 14 points while Nikoloi Smith chipped in with 10 points.
In the U23 encounter, Trojans downed Pacesetters 68-53.
Kadeem Peterkin recorded a game high 18 points in the win while Jermaine Godard scored 10 points for Pacesetters. The event resumes today at the same venue with another doubleheader.
