The dead body of a farmer was on Thursday evening discovered at Greenfield, Railway Embankment, East Coast Demerara, hours after he left home.
The dead man has been identified as Jadgeswar Nandram, 34, of Lot 12 Greenfield.
Stabroek News understands that Nandram left home around 8am on Thursday morning for his garden. However, after he failed to return home, his brother began to worry and started to search for him.
The dead man suffered from high blood pressure. The police said while there were no visible marks of violence about his body, some marks, suspected to be “fish bites,” were seen on his face.
His body was taken to the Lyken Funeral Home, where it is being stored ahead of a post-mortem examination.
