Eagles and Colts crushed Pacesetters and the University of Guyana (UG) Trojans respectively in the U23 division when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) ‘League of Champions’ tournament continued Thursday. Eagles soared past Pacesetters 72-46 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue. Patrice Agrippa top scored with 16 points while Darrol Williams tallied 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds.
Travis Belgrave accumulated 13 points and 17 rebounds while Kheon Evans netted eight points.
For Pacesetters, Marvin Durant registered 12 points and nine rebounds while Keon Marks scored 10 points and had 15 rebounds while Quincy DosSantos scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Colts brushed aside UG Trojans 64-46. Jamal Gilkes recorded a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds while Andrew David assisted with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Contributing six points each were Daniel Ramlagan, Jonathan Mangra and Jafar Gibbons. For the losing team, Sherland Gillis recorded 13 points and as many rebounds while Jonathan Brown and Kadeem Peterkin scored 11 and seven points each.
