The National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue will come alive tonight when Eyefull Entertainment and New Era Entertainment presents the ‘Clash of the Champions’ Futsal championships from 22:00hrs.
The event, which will be a two-match home and away series, will pit two-time National Guinness Champion Sparta Boss against recently crowned Cell Smart/Mackeson Futsal titlist Hustlers.
The East La Penitence-based Spartans comprise a star-studded cast featuring the likes of Devon Millington, Gregory `Jackie Chan’ Richardson, Sheldon Shepherd, Eusi Phillips, Cleon Forester, Travis Grant and Jerome Richardson.
On the other side, the Lindeners also possess a formidable unit led by the dangerous quartet of John ‘Brown Boy’ Waldron, Anthony ‘Sancho’ Kang, Deon Charter and Donovan Francis.
Prior to commencement of the feature showdown, Gold is Money will tackle Queen Street Tiger Bay from 19:00hrs while Broad Street will engage Leopold Street from 19:45hrs.
At, 20:30hrs, Bent Street will lock horns with Tucville while Mix-Up Domino club will oppose fierce rival Spartan Domino club from 21:00hrs.
The tournament will then move to the Mining Town of Linden for the return leg on February 25th at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) Hard-court.
Other matches billed for the evening include Magic Stars battling Goodfellas and Town Cars matching skills with Linden Buses. The event is sponsored by Stag Beer.
