Fruta Conquerors will lock horns with Santos while Uitvlugt will tackle Georgetown Football Club (GFC) today in the semifinals of the Fruta Conquerors U19 league at the Tucville ground.
Conquerors reached the final four by topping group-B and will be expected to defend home turf in the feature affair at 19:00hrs. They possess a wealth of talent with Leon Richardson, Randy Layne, Isaiah Reddy, Reshawn Ritch and Nicholas McArthur forming a dangerous quintet for any opposition backline.
On defence, Jeremy Garrett, Cecil Jackman and Simeon Moore are expected to thwart the advances of the opposition.
Santos, the group-A runners-up is a talented team which should not be taken lightly.
Job Caesar leads a capable attacking line comprising the likes of Keith Caines and Sheldon Profit while much will be required of the Samuel Hunte marshalled backline if they are to emerge victorious.
In the opening contest at 19:00hrs, GFC will start as the favourites.
The Bourda-based unit feature several quality players in their lineup highlighted by Ralph Parris, Lennox Cort and Curtis Kellman.
For Uitvlugt, their place in the knockout round was not based on the ability of individuals but the overall quality and physicality of the experienced squad. They are expected to provide a stern test for their opponents come kickoff time.
