Ravens and Colts will contest the Open final of the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) ‘League of Champions’ after they defeated Pepsi Sonics and Plaisance Guardians respectively Thursday evening at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.
Ravens defeated Pepsi Sonics by 22 points (88-66) with Dominic Vicente the top scorer with 30 points while Ryan Stephney supported with 20 points and five rebounds.
Carlos Edwards added 13 points while Darcel Harris and Ryan Gullen chipped in with eight and seven points respectively.
For Sonics, Trevor Smith scored 26 points and pulled in nine rebounds while Earl O’Neil bagged a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Junior Lovell chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds while Aubrey Austin scored eight points.
In the other semi-final Colts defeated Plaisance Guardians 66-56. Shelroy Thomas scored 19 points while Shane Webster, Jamal Weekes and Stanton Rose assisted with 15, 12 and 11 points respectively.
For Plaisance Guardians, Nikoloi Smith top scored with 12 points while Malcolm Powder, Marlon Chesney and Trenton Woolford contributed 10, nine and eight points respectively.
