The Society Against Sexual Orientation Discrimination (SASOD) will host its fundraising pre-Mashramani party under the theme ‘White Shorts: Soca Glow Party’ tonight at the Dutch Bottle Café on North Road.
A release from the society boasted that ‘Mix Master’ Tony is expected to keep revelers energised with the best and latest in soca music. The dancing starts at 9 pm and partygoers are encouraged to wear their best ‘white shorts’ and come ready to fete the night away as Dutch Bottle is transformed into the perfect Mash’ celebration.
Limited pre-sold tickets cost $1,500 and can be purchased from Oasis Cafe, 125 Carmichael Street; Vintage Wine Bar & Lounge, 218 Lamaha Street; and SASOD’s office, 203 Duncan Street, Lamaha Gardens. Admission at the door is $2,000.
All proceeds from this fundraiser go to SASOD’s LGBT Emergency Shelter Fund, which facilitates urgent support for LGBT victims of violence in Guyana.
