The ball is in Darren Bravo’s court.
That was the response from West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) president Dave Cameron when asked about the impasse between the regional board and the West Indies star batsman which erupted last year when the left-hander was sent home from the Zimbabwe due to a controversial comment on social media platform Twitter.
Cameron was fielding questions from the public during a town hall meeting at Preysal Secondary in Couva on Thursday night and he addressed a wide range of issues including Nicholas Pooran’s season-long ban.
The WICB president also spent some time talking about the WICB’s relationship with its players and the board’s plans to improve the relationship going forward including the institution of “a player partnership agreement”.
Going back to Bravo’s situation, the middle order batsman found himself in hot water following a twitter outburst in November last year which the WICB described as “inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour”. (Trinidad Express)
