North Georgetown recorded the largest margin of victory to date in the Milo Secondary Schools football tournament downing Central High 10-0 yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Nehemiah Gomes scored five times in the ninth, 21st, 28th, 56th and 58th minute. Rueben Miller assisted with a double in the 36th and 62nd minute while Marcos DeLima and Brandon Solomon netted in the 38th and 39th minute respectively.
An own goal in the fifth minute started the debacle. Meanwhile, School of the Nation’s crushed Dolphin Secondary 3-0. Benjonel Parkes scored a brace in the 55th and 67th minute while Andy Parkes netted in the 64th minute.
In other results, former winners St. George’s edged Mae’s 3-2. Anthony Pierre bagged a double in the seventh and 67th minute while Oren Williams scored in the 45th minute.
On target in the loss were Diego Britton and Darshan Persaud in the 34th and 56th minute respectively.
Also, Tutorial High overcame Queen’s College 2-1 with Zion Gray netting a double in the 29th and 35th minute. Scoring in the loss in the 25th minute was Gaven Houston.
The tourney will continue on Friday and Saturday at the same venue and conclude April 23.
