Kwakwani and Retrieve Raiders secured contrasting wins over Bankers Trust Falcons and Block 22 Flames respectively when the Linden Amateur Basketball Association (LABA) U23 Championship continued on Sunday.
Staged at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) Hard-court, Linden, Kwakwani clipped Bankers Trust Falcons 84-31. Domar Gladstone top scored with 31 points while Shafeeq Thomas chipped in with 21 points and Leonard Primo added seven points.
For Bankers Trust, Stephen Duncan led the way with nine points while Akeel Primo and Raphael Robertson assisted with six points each.
In another encounter, Retrieve Raiders extinguished Block 22 Flames 40-34.
Coel Winter led the winner with 13 points while Travis Sutton and Otis Williams added 10 and seven points respectively. For Flames, Selwyn Henry and Rondel Fraser scored seven points each.
