(Barbados Nation) The way has been cleared for Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler to carry out his threat to fire Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados Dr DeLisle Worrell.
The Court of Appeal yesterday lifted the injunction preventing this and then denied another application for it to be extended in order for Worrell to go to the Caribbean Court of Justice.
After four hours of arguments in No. 1 Supreme Court, the three-member panel removed the court order which had been protecting the governor from being axed.
Worrell’s attorney Gregory Nicholls gave notice that as promised, they would go to the CCJ.
