St Joseph’s boys team wins twice, stays unbeaten

St. Joseph’s High School’s boys team remained unbeaten while Marian Academy secured two wins in the girls division when the Smalta U14 Indoor Hockey League continued Friday at the Marian Academy auditorium.

St. Joseph’s defeated Hikers Hatchets 1-0 through a Kalfanni Yan effort and then drubbed Old Fort 8-1 while Marian Academy crushed Hikers and St. Joseph 9-0 and 5-0 respectively.

In other results in the boys division, Saints Scalpels mauled Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) War Dogs 11-0 while Saints Scorchers incinerated GCC Thunderbolts 7-1.

In the girls division, Saints Silencers brushed aside GCC Challengers 4-0 with Mariah Seegobind netting all four goals.

Also securing a win in the same section was Saints Sensations. The event resumes on Friday at the St. Stanislaus College auditorium from 16:00hrs.
