Dear Editor,
I refer to an article in Stabroek News on Thursday, February 2, re ‘Queenstown wash bays told to shut -city in moves to standardise sector’, which in part reports Town Clerk Royston King as stating “wash bay operations would no longer be allowed on bridges”.
The fact that these operations are still continuing leaves one to wonder when this will be stopped. Some of them operate from 7.15am to as late so 6.30 pm on some days, from Sunday to Sunday.
The next door neighbour has to endure the noise and dirty water spray from the machines, and also the frequent indecent language between operator and customer.
I hope Mr King can act on this as soon as possible.
Yours faithfully,
A Benjamin
