Sir Leon Lessons equalled the largest margin of victory in the fifth annual Milo U18 Secondary Schools football tournament when they steamrolled Brickdam Secondary 13-0 yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
The South Ruimveldt team, led by a helmet trick from Adrian Aaron in the third, 27th, 32nd and 66th minute, equalled the record set by Morgan Learning Centre,
Meshach Barratt scored a hat-trick in the first, 33rd and 42nd minute while Amonick Muir, Richard Rayside, Shamar Carrington, Dante Yannick and Dexter Blue scored in the sixth, 26th, 44th, 47th and 64th minute each.
Adding to the score in the 40th minute was an own goal. In other results, Queenstown downed Christ Church 5-2. Jermaine Padmore bagged a hat-trick in the 54th, 56th and 67th minute while Daniel Ross and Shaquan Stephens scored in the fifth and 30th minute respectively.
For Christ Church, Patrick Joseph and Andre Paul netted in the 21st and 68th minute apiece. Meanwhile, Carmel crushed Richard Ishmael 5-2 with Shaquille Baptiste netting a brace in the ninth and 15th minute while Randy Roberts tallied a double in the 45th and 47th minute. Adding to the rout in the 18th minute was Stefan Duke.
For Richard Ishmael, Closson McLaren and Sherwin Luke netted in the 21st and 51st minute correspondingly.
South Ruimveldt edged Cummings Lodge 1-0. Godfrey Weeks scored in the 34th minute. The tourney continues today at the same venue with another four matches.
At 11:00hrs, North Georgetown engages School of the Nations while Dolphin Secondary battle Central High from 12:30hrs.
The third fixture at 14:00hrs will witness Tutorial High matching skills with Mae’s Secondary whilst Queen’s College opposes former champion St. George’s High from 15:30hrs.
