Dear Editor,
I have been parking my car in front of my workplace for the past eight years, and never once had a problem with theft. Recently, however, because of the installation of parking meters, I had cause to park beyond Camp Street.
Two weeks ago, whilst parked in front of the St Roses’s High School on Church Street, I discovered that my two mirrors were missing when I went to my vehicle after work at 4.30pm.
Last week, on Wednesday, March 1, whilst parked on Robb Street, beyond Camp Street, someone damaged the door lock on the passenger side of my car.
Editor, I am pretty disturbed over this situation as it is costing me quite a lot to replace these parts. I have only recently replaced the two mirrors at $7,000 each.
This situation has prevented me from driving to Georgetown even though I live approximately fifteen miles away.
Yours faithfully,
(Name and address provided)
