An accident along Carifesta Avenue yesterday morning resulted in damage to two utility poles.
When Stabroek News visited the area, what appeared to be parts of the vehicle, including a broken light bearing licence number PMM 1678, lined the bushy roadway.
It was also observed that the first pole near the GTT facility along Carifesta Avenue was bent from the apparent impact of the vehicle.
The car then hit and uprooted a second pole bearing the Cayman Islands emblem.
Skid marks from the southern lane onto the northern lane demonstrated the vehicle’s final resting place, inches away from GTT’s gate.
When contacted, Traffic Chief Dion Moore, stated that the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and was later released.
He added that the driver sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident.
