Tourney host Den Amstel was crowned the Den Amstel Mash Cup Knockout Champions, humbling Uitvlugt by a 5-2 score line on Sunday at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora.
Delon Lanferman led the rout with a hat-trick in the sixth,
61st and 82nd minute while Kester Jacobs and Jamal Perreira netted in the 37th and 77th minute respectively.
For the losing team, Jamal Harvey netted in the eighth and 64th minute. , Den Amstel pocketed $200,000 and the respective accolade. For Uitvlugt, the second place package of $100,000 and a trophy was received.
In the earlier third place playoff, Eagles defeated Pouderoyen 1-0. Jeffrey Adams scored in the 26th minute. With the result, Eagles walked away with $75,000 and a trophy while Pouderoyen collected $50,000 and a trophy.
