Gladiator Football Club male and female teams secured contrasting wins over Snatchers when the Rupununi Football Association (RFA) 2017 League continued on Saturday at the St. Ignatius Community Ground.
In the keenly contested ladies showdown, Vandette Henry broke the deadlock in favour of Gladiators with an eighth minute goal.
However, Snatchers levelled proceedings through Helen Domingo who etched her name on the scorer’s sheet 10 minutes later.
Gladiators Satisha Sam’s conversion in the 68th minute proved the decisive goal.
Meanwhile in the men’s section, Gladiators maintained their perfect record over Snatchers as they prevailed 4-2. The event resumes on Saturday at the same venue with another doubleheader.
