Jamal John added another 15 points to his tally to stay atop the leaderboard of the Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF) ranking system after winning yesterday’s 62-mile road race.
The Team Coco’s standout who won the first GCF organized road race last month, now has racked up 30 points with the two wins and currently sits in pole for any selection process.
John, 20, led WS United teammates, Andrew Hicks (12 points) and Raphael Leung (10 points) onto podium in the event which pedaled off in front of Ocean View Hotel, proceeded to Mahaicony and returned to the point of origin for the finish.
In the event which attracted only 18 starters, John completed the trek in two hours, 37 minutes and 10 seconds.
Junior Niles, Briton John, Leer Nunes, Dwayne Gibbs Jr., Jason Cameron, Eric Sankar and Everall Mundy were the riders completing the top 10 positions.
