General Services and Mines will face-off in the final of the BOSAI Minerals Group (Guyana) Inter Department Basketball Championship, following semifinal wins over Plant Operations and Maintenance, respectively, on Sunday March 25th.
General Services dismissed Plant Operations by a 52-43 scoreline at the Mackenzie Sport Club (MSC) in Linden. Jamal Bethune recorded 15 points in the win, while Domain Webster, Clive McCalman and Theodore Tappin supported with 10, eight and eight points, respectively.
For the loser, Quincy Dotson tallied a tournament high 18 points, while Omisi Williams chipped in with 15 points. Meanwhile, Mines, brushed aside Plant Maintenance 43-32.
Marlon Pollydore led Mines with 10 points, whilst Marvin Russell, Carl Isaacs and Melroy Ross contributed nine, six and six points, each. The final will be staged at the same venue at a date to be announced, along with the third place playoff.
