Sonia Noel, fresh from the Women in Business Expo, is teaming up with the New Thriving Restaurant to launch an event themed ‘Afternoon Delight’, which would encompass tea and fashion at the restaurant’s Providence location.
With the opening of the new location the restaurant has embarked on several promotional ventures to market the new enterprise.
New Thriving recently hosted afternoon tea for women for the ladies to sample the variety of teas, cakes, sandwiches and pastries it has for sale. One of the objectives was to decide the menu for the launch of ‘Afternoon Delight’.
Sonia, a renowned fashion designer, will be displaying her most recent line. As the Prom season approaches, Sonia will be releasing a collection that caters to the pre-adults who will be graduating soon and celebrating their Prom in full glitz and glamour. “This event is perfect for friends, mothers and daughters to relax and have a relaxing time while enjoying delicious delicacies in an amazing atmosphere,” she said of the event.
Apart from the prom fashion show, which will also feature fashions from Paula Evans, Sears Style and Beads of Elegance there will be other attractions such as makeup and tips and product lines from Le Cosmetiques by Niketa, Henna Designs from Natasha Azeez, and Beads of Elegance Jewellery from Fiona Northe-Graham. There will also be a fabulous gift up for grabs for the person with the most creative hat.
The elegant event is set for April 8, at the New Thriving Restaurant, Massy Complex, Providence, East Bank Demerara.
After the launch, Afternoon Delight will a daily feature between 3 to 5 pm.
Tickets cost $1,500 and can be uplifted at the New Thriving Restaurant, and the Makin Style Boutique in the Courtyard Mall.
