Dynamic International Airways has announced the cancellation of its flight 2D 402 out of the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri bound for JFK International Airport this afternoon, due to a hydraulic leak on its 767 aircraft.
A release today from Roraima Airways says that Dynamic’s maintenance engineers worked diligently in an effort to correct the problem but were unable to complete their task before nightfall, forcing the cancellation of the flight.
However, the 150 passengers are being offered transportation vouchers to get home and return to the airport tomorrow afternoon. Passengers from far-flung areas are being offered hotel accommodation and meals, Roraima said.
Another Dynamic aircraft will arrive in Guyana tomorrow morning and will facilitate the departure of affected passengers in the afternoon.
“Dynamic regrets any inconvenience which this 24 hour delay in departure causes to its passengers”, the statement said.
This is the first cancellation for 2017 of a Dynamic International Airways flight serving the Guyana route, it added.
