If you are a fan of speed, skills and thrills, then the place to be today at 18:00 hrs is the Guyana Motor Racing Sports Club (GMR&SC) at Thomas Road and Albert Street, to witness the second edition of GT Sports Georgetown Grand Prix.
Witness top local speedsters, Kristian Jeffrey, Mark Vieira and Elliott Vieira come up against the likes of Ravi Singh and Kristian Boodoosingh from Trinidad, and for the first time, Darryl Timmers from Canada.
Among the categories to be contested are the 60cc, 125cc Junior, 125cc Senior, 4-Stroke Light, 4-Stroke Heavy and Shifter karts. A new addition would be the Easy Cup Rookies, targeting newcomers.
The champion drivers from February meet were: 60cc- Jeremy Tenpow (2 wins, 1 third); 125cc Junior- Mikhail Persaud (2 wins, 1 third); 125cc Senior- Bridget Singh (2 wins); 4-Stroke Light- Stephen Vieira (1 win, 2 seconds); 4-Stroke Heavy- Shan Seejattan (2 wins); and Shifter karts- Kristian Jeffrey (3 wins).
