Pizza Hut Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) hammered Spartans 7-0 when the second Woodpecker women’s first division hockey league continued on Monday at the GCC ground, Bourda.
Aaliyah Gordon led the rout with a second half helmet trick. The speedy attacker recorded her strikes in the 40th, 54th, 57th and 58th minutes. Her blitz occurred after Tricia Fiedtkou, daughter Marzana Fiedtkou and Kerensa Fernandes had given Pizza Hut GCC a commanding 3-0 lead at the halftime interval.
Tricia Fiedtkou opened the scoring in the ninth minute while Marzana Fiedtkou doubled the lead in the 24th minute. Fernandes completed the first half rout four minutes later.
